1. Data Protection at a Glance

The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website or use our services. 2. Data We Collect

Data is collected either when you actively provide it (e.g. by submitting a server to our database) or automatically by our systems when you visit the website (e.g. browser type, operating system, time of access, IP address).

3. Payment Processing

All payments are processed via Stripe (Stripe, Inc.). Upon checkout, you are directed to Stripe's secure environment. We do not receive or store your full card details at any point. Stripe may process personal data such as your name, email address, billing address, and payment information under their own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy

4. dripleaf Minecraft Mod

dripleaf offers an optional Minecraft client mod that integrates with the dripleaf API. By installing and using the mod, you acknowledge the following data processing practices.

Automatic background lookups: While connected to a Minecraft server, the mod automatically queries the dripleaf API for other players visible on the same server. This occurs without requiring manual action from you on each occasion.

Data transmitted per request:

  • Minecraft username and/or UUID of the player being looked up
  • Your IP address (transmitted as part of every standard HTTP request)

Local storage: The mod does not write any personal data to disk. No local profiles or databases are created by the mod.

API-side processing: The dripleaf API uses the submitted username or UUID solely to return publicly available player data already listed on dripleaf.net — equivalent to performing a manual search on the website. No persistent profiles are created as a result of mod lookups. IP addresses may appear in server log files as described in Section 8.

Third-party players: When the mod looks up other players on the same server, those players have not explicitly consented to that lookup at that moment. However, the data retrieved is limited exclusively to information that is already publicly accessible on dripleaf.net.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The processing is limited to publicly available data, no profiles are built or retained, and the impact on data subjects is minimal. You may stop all mod-related API requests at any time by disabling or uninstalling the mod.

5. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics (Google LLC) with IP anonymization enabled. Usage data is transmitted to Google servers in the United States. You may opt out at any time via the browser plugin available at: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

6. Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense (Google LLC) to display relevant advertisements using cookies and web beacons. You may opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

9. User-Generated Content

When you submit a Minecraft server to our database, the following is stored and made publicly visible:

  • Server IP address or domain
  • Server port
  • Server metadata (MOTD, version, player count, favicon)
  • Submission timestamp

We do not store personal information about who submitted a server unless explicitly provided.

10. Data Retention

Server database entries are retained indefinitely as they form the core of our service. Cookie preferences are stored locally in your browser only. Purchase and transaction records are retained for a minimum of 10 years pursuant to § 257 HGB (German Commercial Code). Google and Stripe data retention is governed by their respective privacy policies.

11. Your Rights
